bee movie

One day out of the blue me and a few friend decided to go out and rent bee movie just to see what everyone was was meaning by that movies funny i couldn’t stop laughing. When it first came out in the movies i was like lets go see that movie but other things lead me away from it. Ive only seen it recently and many a long time ago but this is for the few people that haven’t watched it.

The plot is theres this bee Barry B. Benson and just graduate from collage and just found out about having a lone career in making honey. On a trip outside the hive, Barry’s life is saved by Vanessa, a florist in New York City. As their relationship blossoms, he discovers humans actually eat honey, and subsequently decides to sue us.

I would try not to watch this movie again yes its funny sometimes but not as much as i thought it would. Its great for little kids but not for teens and adults. I’m giving this movie a 2 out of 5 stars.

Preview: Toy Story 3

the cast

If you haven’t heard the rumor of Toy Story 3 then here are the details. Lee Unkrich the co-director of Toy Story 2 takes on the role of directer and Michael Arndt writer of Little Miss Sunshine is doing the screenplay for the movie. I am hoping that this movie is going to be great as number one and two were. They were both such awesome movies.

This movie looks to have the best plot so far of the three. The plot is that Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the gang are dumped in a day-care center after their owner Andy departs for college. Theres not a lot of information but I will keep you updated on all the latest news from Pixar. All characters are the same and Tim Allen (Buzz) and Tom Hanks (Woody) will still be playing the leads in the movie.

Keep your eyes out for this movie hitting theaters ~25th January 2010.

DVD Review: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

sweeny todd

OK. I know in the back of everyones mind theres a big thought saying oh my gosh a Sweeney Todd musical this movies going to suck. The truth is that in my eyes its great, even the music that usually makes musicals suck. Its one of my favorite musicals of all time even better than hairspray and high school musical, probably because of its dark nature. The way Tim Burton makes all of his movies but I have to say this is one of his best as its not stupid and lame.

So every one I hope can guess the plot of this movie from the title, It says everything, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Well if you can’t get it don’t worry because here it is. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is about a man called Sweeney Todd who was previously named Benjamin Barker after an incident with a judge. As you guess hes a barber on Fleet Street who works on the top floor of Mrs Lovettes meat pie shop. After 15 years he finally gets what he needed to desperately happen but maybe in the wrong way.

This movie is actually based on the chilling facts of a demon barber on the streets of London. Some of the facts have been changed greatly for entertainment purposes.

With the cast from movies such as Borat (Sacha Baron Cohen) Harry Potter (Timothy Spall),(Alan Rickman) and (Helena Bonham Carter). The lead role was given to Johnny Depp form Pirates of the Caribbean he leaves is funny self and switches roles to a more darker nature. Hes perfect for the part his voice, his face, everything. Casting director Susie Figgis has done a great job casting she couldn’t have chosen a better cast line up.

Ill give this movie a 4 out of 5 stars. If it wasn’t a musical it would have been a higher rating. So rent this movie or buy it because its great.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa flies into Imax theaters November 7th 2008. Madagascar joins four other animation movies hitting the big screen. Including Kung fu Panda (June 6th 2008) as well as 3d Monsters vs Aliens (March 27th 2009) and one of the most anticipated Shrek goes Fourth (May 21st 2010).

In Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, all of your favorite characters will be back into the action. Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo and my personal favorite the Penguins.

Left stranded on the distance shores of Madagascar, the animals from a Newyork zoo have hatched a plan so crazy it just might work. The penguins repair an old water airplane… sort of. Once the plane is floating all the gang get on board and end up in Africa.

Ben Stiller, Chris rock, Jada Pinkett Smith, Cedric the Entertainer, Andy Richter, David Schwimmer and Sacha Baron Cohen all return to there original roles.

DVD Review: P.S I Love You.

p.s i love you

P.S I Love You is a romantic comedy about a young widow (Hilary Swank) who is encouraged by her belated husband (Gerard Butler) to celebrate life and rekindle her spirit.

I would have to say that this movie is definitively a chick flick. I would not recommend this one for the guys, they will snore all the way through it. It’s not the best movie the best movie i have seen but its not the worst either.

So i say go out and buy or rent this DVD at your own leisure you might surprise your self and like it.

I’m giving this movie a 2.3 out of 5 stars.

DVD Review: Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Alvin and the chipmunks

Everyone has heard of Alvin and the Chipmunks, the children’s cartoon from many years ago. In one part of every adults life Alvin and the Chipmunks have been great role models. So why not bring adults and children together for a great family comedy.

Long story short a struggling songwriter David Seville played by My Name is Earl star Jason Lee comes across a singing and dancing group of chipmunks. Wise guy Alvin (Justin Long), smarty pants Simon ( Matthew Gubler), and chubby little Theodore (Jesse McCartney). Human and chipmunks work together and start making music.

I personally think this movie is the best family movie so far this year, you don’t even need to have children to enjoy this movie its for all ages. So go get get this movie sit down and watch. You’ll enjoy it so much you will just want to keep on watching. I’m giving this movie a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
