Review: Step Up 2: The Streets
Step Up 2 is the best out of the two by far i would say. It has a way better plot line and even the acting and dances are the best. The cast stars Robert Hoffman he plays the main guy character Chase Collins in the movie chase plays are stuck up ballet street dancer. Then there is Briana Evigan she plays the main girl character Andie West, she plays a girl that is a street dancer that has to go to school at MSA.
The plot line is pretty basic but it is great. Well two people Andie and Chase go to the same school and share sparks and then end up forming a crew. As i said basic but excellent. Channing Tatum plays a small role in the movie but he still has a great dance scene.
This movie is great and defiantly a watchable movie. I would say more for children and teens. Its two great big thumbs up.
News: Chart Topper
The movie The Dark Knight has topped 2 Hollywood records in just its first week in the movies. It has topped the highest grossing movie in five days producing 158 Million on the weekend, set last year by Spider-man 3.
The highly anticipated The Dark Knight sequel to Batman Begins grew into a huge event, pumping up the fans after Heath Ledgers death in January. That is a lot of willing and devoted fans who love Batman or love the actors such as Heath Ledger, Christian Bale and Director, writer Christopher Nolan. Christopher has directed movies such as The Prestige and Batman Begins.
I still haven’t seen the movie yet but I’m guessing its going to be great. I have heard that Heath Ledgers character is simple great and he played it so well his best performance ever.
Why so serious?
Movie of the Week: National Treasure Book of Secrects
National Treasure Book of Secrets well I have never seen the first National Treasure but I expect it was great, just like the second one turned out to be. I watched this movie at school and then again at my house about five times and now as I am writing I am watching that very same movie. So as you have guessed I like this movie and can re-watch it meaning that you guys most likely will enjoy it .
Just like the first it follows the same route of treasure hunting. Ben Gates once again tries to solve many mysteries to find the “City of Gold” but to fully find out what happens along the way you will have to watch it. I wont spoil any secrets. Ben Gates is the lead character and he is played by the marvelous Nicolas Cage. Riley, Ben’s geeky friend is played by Justin Bartha. The girlfriend of Ben is played by Diane Kruger. Finally Ben’s dad Patrick Gate is played by Jon Voight.
I love this movie it is defiantly one of my favorites and I would watch it over and over again if I didn’t have other things to be doing. With great acting and some funny scenes you will be giggling like mad. This movie gets a 4.5 out of 5.
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
The Mummy :Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is the fourth Mummy movie. Ive seen all of the other ones when i was younger and to be honest they scared me to death all the bugs and stuff. So hopefully now at my age i can watch it and not be quivering.
So Jet Li plays in this movie so I’m going to take a big guess and say its going to be action packed if not then I’m going to be shocked. Jet Li plays Emperor Han, I think he’s the Dragon Emperor. Brendon Fraser plays the main character and follows on as Richard O’Connell. Rob Cohen the Director of this movie has directored some great movies and also Produced them so this movie put together with Jet Li, Brendon Fraser this movie is going to be a smash.
Preview:The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight which will be hitting theaters July 18th is a very anticipated movie, but I don’t no why ? Is it because a the sudden death of the Joker ( Heath Ledger ) or does this movie have a certain something? I don’t no but i want to see this movie so you will be seeing the review popping up here sometime later in July.
So back on to the subject of what the Dark Knights about. Well its Batman movie. The sixth Batman movie to be released only three years after the previous one Batman Begins. Christian Bale returns to play Batman once again after his stunning performance in Batman Begins. We all no who plays The Joker Heath Ledger it has been said that this is one of his best performances. I don’t no the patriot and 10 Things I Hate About You are very had to bet in my books.
Christopher Nolan the Screen Writer and Director is also brilliant hes directed Batman Begins and the Prestige to very good movies.
I’m going to see this movie see what all the talk is about.
Preview: Journey to the Center of the Earth
The Journey to the Center of the Earth is action fantasy and family movie, its even 3D how cools thats going to be. Dinosaurs and plants coming out of the screen I’m thinking that this movies going to be jumpy and funny, what a perfect mix.
Well the movie is about a man called Trevor Anderson played by Brendon Fraser and his Nephew Sean Anderson played by Josh Hutcherson on a quest to find Trevor’s missing brother, you’ve guess it the take a journey into the center of the earth just to find him. The go on wacky weird adventures (in 3D).
I want to go see this movie in 3D just to see if it is funny and action packed. Anything with Brendon Fraser and Josh Hutcherson is bound to be good so on July 11th tomorrow ill be there.
Theater Review: The Happening
This movie has some similarities to the Mist. Such as they all believe that its to do with the army and terrorists, there is always the one guy that knows what is happening and how it happened and always kind of saves the day.
This movie has some kind of big named actors, which leads you to believe that this movie is brilliant. Actors such as Mark Wahlberg, who has been in movies such as “We Own the Night”, “The Shooter”, “Four Brothers” and “Planet of the Apes”. John Leguizamo, who did the voice acting for ‘Sid’, the sloth in the two “Ice Age” movies. Spencer Breslin also stars in this movie you might have seen him in such movies as, Santa Clause 3, Zoom, Shaggy Dog, Cat in the Hat and form his younger days The Kid.
Well this movie is a mystery, thriller kind of movie. Its about a bunch of family’s that run into a disaster which people think is caused by terrorists. Other people have different views on this but the majority believe in that one idea. Elliot Moore a science teacher and his wife and friend set out to find a area which has not been infected, but they soon learn it’s harder than they thought to keep away from pain and fear.
My opinion on this movie is go out and see it but be thoughtful about it. This movie contains some gruesome scenes and some jumpy. My friend was scared to death he was covering his eyes and squeezing my hand. This movie is not supposed to make you laugh in the nasty parts but sorry I couldn’t help it the realism of what was happening was hilarious. OK my full opinion is its OK to watch but it kinda made you want to leave.
Movie of the week: Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story
Well theres a new addition to Movie stooge, a section where I say what movie is a great decision to watch that week.
So here it goes the first movie of the week is Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.
So the plot is young boy Dewey wants to be a great musician but as he grows older his dreams get harder and harder. During theses years Dewey struggles with drugs and life’s problems. But will his life summed up be a beautiful ride or all his walking hard land him in deep trouble.
So this movie is my movie pick of the week. Go out buy or rent this movie you will not be disappointed as this hilarious comedy is a 5 out of 5 in my books.
DVD Review: Alvin and the Chipmunks.
Everyone has heard of Alvin and the Chipmunks, the children’s cartoon from many years ago. In one part of every adults life Alvin and the Chipmunks have been great role models. So why not bring adults and children together for a great family comedy.
Long story short a struggling songwriter David Seville played by My Name is Earl star Jason Lee comes across a singing and dancing group of chipmunks. Wise guy Alvin (Justin Long), smarty pants Simon ( Matthew Gubler), and chubby little Theodore (Jesse McCartney). Human and chipmunks work together and start making music.
I personally think this movie is the best family movie so far this year, you don’t even need to have children to enjoy this movie its for all ages. So go get get this movie sit down and watch. You’ll enjoy it so much you will just want to keep on watching. I’m giving this movie a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
